The Goggins Challenge

Through this challenge you can help us raise funds and spread awareness for Foster Youth in America.

The Goggins Challenge is a 4x4x48 endurance challenge created by Navy SEAL, renowned author, and accomplished athlete David Goggins. The beauty and the pain are in its simplicity: Run 4 miles Repeat every 4 hours Continue for 48 hours That’s a grand total of 48 miles run over the course of two days.

It’s for us, too!

Nicole, our treasurer here at FosterFit, will be completing this challenge for the 4th year by running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours to bring awareness for the foster youth, while raising money for our mission at FosterFit.

We invite you to be a part of this challenge by participating and/or donating.

How to participate:

You can participate In-person where we’ll be completing this challenge in Branford, CT, or virtually in your own hometown!

If you can’t run, you have other options for completing this challenge. Here are a few ideas: You can walk for 45 minutes You can bike for 45 minutes You can swim for 45 minutes You can row for 45 minutes You can do the elliptical for 45 minutes Alternative activities are strictly for those who need them. They are not an invitation to scale down the challenge.

If you can run, you need to run. Trust us! If you are physically able to run 4 miles at a time, you are doing yourself a huge disservice (i.e., copping out) if you choose a different activity just because it’s easier. To some runners, 4 miles is a mere warmup. To others, 4 miles is longer than they’ve ever even attempted to go. Both types of runners will be challenged by this event, although perhaps in different ways.

Changing the narrative on Foster Youth starts with you.

With every dollar, we are able to change the lives of more foster kids. Consider donating to be a part of that change.
